The Beautiful Maroons

Maroon, a color so rich and deep,

a hue that exudes warmth and intensity that we long to keep.

from the Crimson Leaves falling in Autumn's embrace.

to the velvety petals of a Rose in grace.

 

it's a color that evokes a sense of passion

and ignites a fire in a world of limitations.

a shade of red with hints of brown,

a color that never fails to astound.

 

it can be found within the fallen Cherry Blossom Leaves lying on the grounds of Japan or Washington, DC.

among the elegance of the Lilies that sway in the garden breeze.

sheltering fairies from the rain with its Cosmos of protection.

and within the Gerbera Daisies native to South Africa.

holding sturdy like the Hibiscus or as this color is particularly nicknamed the Giant Maroon.

seen conversing with other colors in the petals of Orchids.

populating yards aplenty with a Pansy collection of colors so bright and organic.

one might even be able to see stars within the colored petals of Stargazers.

 

in the depths of the ocean, maroon is found,

in the colorful Corals that provide protection and habitat

to the creatures such as the Maroon Clownfish

that call the ocean their home.

the color is seen as a symbol of life, strength, and resilience.

in the vastness of the sea.

for it brings brilliance and beauty deep under the ocean waves.

 

from the majestic mountains to the open plains,

Maroon can be seen in various domains.

in the fiery sunsets and the midnight sky,

it's a color that never fails to catch the eye.

 

or the stomach it seems as it appears in many edible things.

providing a hint of contrasting color to the black in the Black Rice from China.

seen providing Beets in the musical grounds of a garden.

or within the Blood Oranges that hang from the Florida trees.

in the Cherries that offer a bittersweet taste.

or in the Chilis that spice up dishes and hearts alike.

in the Coffee Berries that are often discarded in the making of coffee

seen in the tone of a Crab as it scurries away from the waves washing up along the seashore.

in the Cranberry Sauce that sits as one of many dishes on the Thanksgiving dinner table

in the Elderberries or Grapes that provide a source of nutrients

and sometimes an unforgettable taste of medicine

in the Pomegranates that stain and seem like they are painting small masterpieces on the hands of their holders.

in the Red Cabbage and Lettuce that adorns salads and new-year feasts

in the Red Velvet Cake that we know we should decline to eat but simply can’t resist.

in the Red Wine that provides a refreshing taste of relaxation amidst the chaos that comes with adulthood.

 

in the world of fashion, maroon is adored,

in fabrics and textures, it strikes a chord.

a color that exudes elegance and class,

in every outfit, it adds a touch of sass.

 

but beyond its physical beauty lies a deeper meaning,

a symbol of emotions that are worth believing.

of love, passion, and strength in times of pain,

Maroon is a color that will always remain.

 

so, let's celebrate the variety of things,

that are colored maroon and all the joy it brings.

for in this world of colors, it stands apart,

a shade that truly captures the heart.
