Important Note for Book Review Requests and Promo Post Inquiries

Please include the following in your email if possible:

• Subject line:

  • Book review request - book name(s)

  • Promo Post Inquiry - book name(s)

• Author name/names

• Publisher + publication date

  • If independent, please indicate self-published/independent

• Standalone or series

• Age category and recommended reading ages

  • Example: Middle grade, ages 10+

• Book genres

  • If your book features folklore, mythology, or fairytales, please specify which one it represents (e.g., Chinese mythology)

• Book synopsis

• Representations (if any)

  • Examples can include: disability, LGBTQ+, mental health, etc.

• Where can your book(s) be purchased?

• Link to your author/book website

  • This will be included in my reviews so readers can find your books and learn about you.

• Anything else you might want to have included in the post such as:

  • 3 things you hope readers take away from the book

  • 3 reasons you believe readers should read the book

 

Author Interview Opportunity

If interested in doing a small author interview along with either the book review or promo post, please let me know in your email, and I will send a list of questions.

• Example questions can include but are not limited to:

  • When did you first get into reading/writing?

  • What inspired you to write this book?

  • What are some things you hope readers take away from the book or connect with?

  • What was your writing, editing, and publishing process like?

  • Do you have any advice or tips for aspiring creatives in the book field: writers, editors, reviewers?
